Waterhole
Ababa Joined Temporex as an embedded creative team, expanding his self-built visual world through animation while preserving the freedom and control central to his process.
Overview
Temporex is both a musician and a 3D artist who typically creates his visual work independently. Waterhole called for a different kind of collaboration: adding the capacity of a full creative team without taking authorship away from the artist.
Working from his original artwork, references, and detailed feedback, we translated the release’s surreal, cartoon-inspired language into animated scenes and modular production assets. Alongside the finished work, we delivered individual elements and working files that Temporex could bring into his own 3D workflow, rearrange, and continue building upon.

Result
Waterhole became more than a finished animation. It became a flexible visual toolkit that gave Temporex the scale and support of a creative team while allowing him to keep working in the independent way that makes his art distinctive.
He could use the completed pieces immediately, continue developing scenes himself, and repurpose individual elements throughout the wider campaign. The final work remained unmistakably Temporex—just with more people helping bring his vision to life.
